ASHLAND, Ohio - The Ashland University men’s and women’s basketball teams hosted the Second Annual Tuffy’s Trick or Treat on Thursday (Oct. 27) at Kates Gymnasium. Approximately 520 children from the Ashland area came to campus for free candy, coloring books and an assortment of games.
Tuffy the Eagle greeted all the children, along with the players and coaches from the men’s and women’s basketball teams, who were dressed in full costume. Several other AU athletic department administrators also dressed for the occasion.
Ashland coaches handed out schedule posters and free family passes for basketball games during the 2011-12 season. A number of door prizes and gift packs were distributed during the two-hour event.
