Findlay, Ohio -- On February 16, 2012, The University of Findlay’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be hosting a special presentation between the women’s and men’s home basketball contests. The SAAC, is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses.

For 2011-12, SAAC decided to take on a challenge and sponsor a child’s wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Working through Make-A-Wish, SAAC was partnered with a Findlay child, Logan, who is looking for his wish to be granted. Logan's wish is to have a therapy pool and lift put in his home. Being in the water is the one opportunity Logan has to be free from restraints.

SAAC is fundraising to help these efforts. The game on February 16 will be a “Blackout” game where black t-shirts will be sold for $5. T-shirts are available for purchase at the game or in the athletic office from 2-5 pm Monday, February 13 thru Wednesday, February 15. Donations will also be accepted at the game or can be made by contacting Brandi Laurita at 419-434-4651.
