MIDLAND, Mich. - The Northwood University Athletic Department has launched an all-new home page.
The web address will remain the same – timberwolves.gonorthwood.com, but the site features a fresh new look with numerous added features.
"We are very excited to launch a great new website for our fans," said Sports Information Director Travis McCurdy. "Our new site looks great and has great features. It's a big step forward for our athletic department."
One of the highlights of the new website is the dynamic stats feature. Individual and team statistics are updated in real-time, meaning a fan can see updated statistics in the middle of a game. It also allows for all of the cumulative totals to be updated at the moment a game ends. This feature will be available for nearly every sport that features live stats in GLIAC play.
The site was designed and hosted by PrestoSports. Started in 2003, PrestoSports helps sports teams communicate online with their fans, opponents and media outlets. The company develops technologies that facilitate the sharing of information on top of the PrestoSports Network, the digital mapping of teams' real-world connections. PrestoSports is the predominant web provider in the GLIAC, with 11 of the 16 members of the conference now working with the company.
