James Ngandu // Tiffin // Cross Country

Tiffin senior James Ngandu, a Nairobi, Kenya native, has been one of the nation's premier cross country athletes over his career while maintaining a 3.61 GPA in Law Enforcement. He was 3rd at the NCAA Division II National Championships, running a personal best 29:52.7 and won 7 straight races before reaching the National Championships. 

Last season he was named Midwest Region champion and Regional Runner of the Year along with winning his second consecutive GLIAC Championship. While earning NCAA National Runner of the Week, he was also named a GLIAC Academic Excellence honoree.

Over his career Ngandu has twice been named National Runner of the Week, while he was also named Men's Athlete of the Year and a First Team All GLIAC selection at the GLIAC Championships. He previously won the GLIAC title in 2015 while also earning Male Athlete of the Year and First Team honors.
