Junior distance runner Molly Oren was an important part of the second-place NCAA finish by the Hillsdale College women’s track team during the 2015-16 indoor track season. She was one of the members of the distance medley relay team that won both the GLIAC and NCAA Division II championships in March. Earlier in the season, she was the GLIAC runner-up in the 3000 meter run, recording a time of 9:44.8. During the 2015 NCAA Division II outdoor track championships, she took third overall in the 3000 meter steeplechase. 

Over the course of her athletic career, Oren has been named All-American in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track and helped the Charger programs record four top-three national finishes. 

Away from track, Oren has volunteered at the Hillsdale College theater department as part of the set builders’ crew as well as the McIntyre dorm philanthropy car wash. She worked as a technology intern at the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District in the summer of 2015. She’s been named to the GLIAC Academic Excellence Team five times and was a recipient of the President’s Scholar Athlete Award.
