Wayne State Basketball To Host Pink Wave Games This Saturday

Detroit, Mich - The Wayne State University basketball teams will be hosting its annual Pink Wave games this Saturday as the Warriors battle Northwood University.  The women's game starts at 1 p.m. and is followed by the men's contest.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink as the WSU women's team will be wearing their pink jerseys and shoelaces.  The WSU men's squad will also be wearing pink shoelaces.

Wayne State is teaming up with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) "Play 4Kay" for the Fourth Annual "GLIAC Pink Wave" event in an effort to raise breast cancer awareness and funds to help Wipe Out Breast Cancer.

Fans can show their support for breast cancer awareness by purchasing a pink Wayne State Warriors t-shirt at the game for $7.  There are also pink flyers available for $1.

One ticket is good for both games.  Chairback seats are priced at $8, while adult (age 13 and up) general admission is $5.  Children general admission is $3.  WSU students receive free admission by showing their OneCard.
