Linda Bouvet joined the GLIAC staff in August, 2017, after spending 15 years with the Lake Superior State University Department of Athletics.

Bouvet has sport oversight of tennis, swimming & diving and baseball. She also handles league book keeping duties and the Championships and Health & Well-Being Committees, and assists the sports information director.

While at LSSU, Bouvet served as sports information director for 13 years and director of marketing and ticket sales for two years. She was named Central Collegiate Hockey Association SID of the Year in 2006-07.

Bouvet is a 1985 graduate of Indiana University and has more than 30 years experience as a sports writer. She was the sports editor of the Sault Evening News from 1986-1992 and published her own sports magazine, The EUP Sports Scene, from 1992-1996. She has free-lanced for a variety of media outlets and publications. While attending Indiana University, Bouvet was an intern for the IU Division of Recreational Sports and handled marketing and publicity. She also developed media guides for IU women’s athletics and was a sports writer at the Bloomington Herald-Times.

Bouvet has coached softball at a variety of levels for 30 years. She and her husband, Ray, have three daughters and seven grand-children.
