GLIAC S.A.A.C. Helps Out Saginaw Area Community
GLIAC SAAC COMMUNITY SERVICE

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), an NCAA Division II conference held their fall meeting in Frankenmuth, MI on Sunday October 6th and performed community service in the Saginaw area on Monday October 7th at the following agencies between 9:30am-11:30am:

            East Side Soup Kitchen

            The Emmaus House

            Hidden Harvest

The GLIAC SAAC and the NCAA Division II philosophy is about finding a balance and giving back. 40 student-athletes representing each of our 16 member schools will be attending our meeting on Sunday to provide feedback on NCAA proposed legislation, GLIAC Championships, and how to continually improve the young student-athletes life skills and experiences. The GLIAC SAAC will then be serving lunches, preparing meals and sorting through clothes on Monday to help out the Saginaw community.
