Dragons drop season finale

The Tiffin University women's soccer team fell 4-1 to the Ashland University Eagles on Friday afternoon, as three Dragons played the final home game of their career.

Senior Jennifer Sandberg got the start in goal, and was under fire throughout the 1st half, with the Eagles scoring in the 1st minute to lead 1-0. The Eagles found the net again in the 26th minute, taking a 2-0 lead to halftime. 

At the half, Ashland held a 10-5 lead in shots and 3-0 lead in corner kicks. 

Ashland scored their 3rd goal of the game in the 59th minute on a loose ball in the box off a corner kick. The 4th goal for the Eagles came off a corner kick, as the Eagles totaled 11 corner kicks for the entire game. The Dragons cracked the board in the 68th minute, as Abby Tabor beat the Eagles' keeper to make it a 4-1 game.

Sandberg played the entire 90 minutes, facing 25 shots, 16 shots on goal, and made 12 saves. Tabor scored the lone Dragon goal, her first this season.

The Dragons finish the season 3-15 overall and 1-10 in GLIAC play.
