Oilers Win 18-5 Against Alderson-Broaddus

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team improved to 6-8 on the season with an 18-5 win over Alderson-Broaddus on Thursday, April 17 at Donnell Stadium.

The Oilers, who now have a 4-2 record in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play, held a 32-8 advantage in the shot department with the win.

Sophomore Sarah Lankton once again led the charge as she scored five goals.  She also added five ground balls, eight draw controls and two assists in the game.

Freshman Nicole Stines added three goals while freshman Kyra Bradley and sophomore Mackenzie Barnwell each added two goals apiece.

Sophomore Katie Poorman picked up the win between the pipes by making two saves in the game.

The Oilers will have another game on Saturday against Lake Erie. The contest is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Painesville, Ohio.
