Findlay Sweeps Tiffin

The University of Findlay volleyball team traveled to Tiffin University for a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) matchup.  The Oilers took care of business on the road with a 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-22) sweep.  With the victory, Findlay now sits at 21-7 on the season and 13-3 in conference play.

Leading the charge for the Oilers was the one-two punch of sophomore Amanda Winner and senior Hannah Tong.  Winner led the team with 15 kills, while compiling a .306 hitting percentage.  She also had a team high two serving aces.  Tong also reached the double digit kill plateau in the match with 13 kills.

Freshman Molly Hammersmith had a well-rounded game for the Oilers.  She contributed seven kills, picked up seven digs, and tied for a team high two serving aces.  Sophomore Hailee Olson registered 41 assists in the match and also had tied a team high two serving aces.

Sophomore Kara Scherger anchored the back end of the defense with 25 digs, while senior Mallorie Kah controlled the net with four total blocks.

The Oilers will play their last game of the regular season on Saturday, November 12 at Ashland University.  The match is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
