Oilers Blast Blue Knights 21-4

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team captured a 21-4 victory against Urbana University on Sunday, April 13 in Urbana, Ohio.

The Oilers, who improved to 5-8 on the season with a 3-2 record in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play with the win, had three players score at least five goals in the game.

Freshman Nicole Stines scored six goals and had four ground balls, four draw controls and three caused turnovers to lead the way.

Sophomore Sarah Lankton filled up the stat sheet with five goals, eight caused turnovers, seven ground balls and five draw controls.  Her eight caused turnovers were also enough to establish a new school record.

Freshman Kyra Bradley also had a great game for Findlay with five goals while sophomore Mackenzie Barnwell had two goals.

Freshman Rachel Murray was a terror on defense with six caused turnovers and six ground balls while sophomore Katie Poorman picked up the victoy in goal by making six saves.

The Oilers will return home to face Alderson-Broaddus at 7 p.m. on Thursday (4/17).
