GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Wayne State University men's tennis team (4-1 overall) won its fourth consecutive match on Friday, defeating host Aquinas 8-1 at the MVP SportsPlex.

Niklas Karcz (Bottrop, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) were all double-winners Friday.
DOUBLES RESULTS
Westkamp and Vane joined forces in the first flight, earning an 8-2 win over Chase Peery and Jordan Lomas. Mertz and senior
Harvey Reed (Winchester, Hampshire, England) won in the second flight, 8-4, over Will Buurma and Austin Luker. Sophomore
Derek Sammons (Coldwater, Mich.) played at No. 3 doubles with Karcz, earning an 8-5 over Ryan Fedewa and Kenny Garstecki.
SINGLES RESULTS
Westkamp won his second match of the night at No. 1, defeating Peery, 6-1, 6-1.
Vane earned a No. 2 singles win, 6-0, 6-1, over Buurma.
Mertz was a winner in the third flight over Fedewa, claiming a 6-3, 7-5 contest.
Karcz took on Garstecki in the fourth flight and won 6-2, 6-2.
Reed earned a point for the Green & Gold at No. 6, finishing with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Evan Taylor.
UP NEXT
The Warriors will compete in two matches next week, starting at Toledo on Friday for a 6 p.m. first serve. WSU will also host its first match of the season, welcoming Hillsdale 1 p.m. Sunday.
