Tiffin falls to 15th-ranked Bulldogs

Tiffin University (15-6, 6-3 GLIAC) took on 15th-ranked Ferris State in a GLIAC showdown, with the Bulldogs showing why they are top ranked in the Midwest Region with a solid 7-2 victory. 

Ferris State, the GLIAC regular season champions, swept the doubles matches to open the day. Luis Ludena/Toby Cutting lost the closest match 8-5, while Andrew Isaac/Sorin Navrotchi also fell 8-4. Agustin Mangone/Elio Lezama Perez fell 8-1.

TU, which finishes third in the GLIAC, got two singles wins from Isaac and Cutting. Isaac posted a straight set 7-5, 6-1 win at third singles, while Cutting gutted out a three set marathon 6-2, 6-7, 10-7.

TU was not as fortunate in two other three set matches, as Mangone fell 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 and Navrotchi lost 6-4, 4-6, 10-7. 

Ludena fell 6-4, 6-4 and Lezama fell 6-2, 6-3 in the other singles matches.

TU will now head to the GLIAC Tournament as the 3rd seed.
