DETROIT -- The Wayne State women's basketball team had its five-game winning streak snapped Saturday as the Warriors dropped a 90-84 contest in overtime to Findlay.

Talisha Bridges (Kalamazoo, Mich. / Loy Norrix) scored a season-high 25 points and Juanita Cochran (Saginaw, Mich. / Arthur Hill) tallied 17 points and 15 rebounds to lead WSU.

Wayne State (7-4, 5-2 GLIAC) trailed 75-71 with 54 seconds remaining in regulation, but the Warriors scored the final four points to send the contest into overtime. WSU pulled to within two points, 75-73, after single free throws by Cochran and Bridges.

After a three-point miss by Findlay's Kristin Klausing with 21 seconds left, Wayne State had a couple of chances to send the game into overtime. Deanna Crumpton (Kentwood, Mich. / East Kentwood) missed a jumper with 11 seconds remaining. Bridges pulled down the offensive board, however, giving Wayne State another chance. After a timeout, Bridges drove from the top of the key, converting on a jumper from the free throw line with just five seconds left and ultimately sending the game into overtime.

In overtime, Findlay built a four-point lead after a three-pointer by Karli Beasley gave the Oilers an 82-78 lead with 3:02 remaining in the frame. Kristen Long (Corunna, Mich. / Durand) followed with a jumper, but UF's Lacey Kessler answered with one of her own to again give Findlay a four-point advantage, 84-80, with 2:15 left in overtime.

Crumpton pulled WSU to within two points again, 84-82, but Findlay's Tai Dotson again made it a four-point Findlay lead, 86-82, with a layup with 1:29 left in the contest. Wayne State would get no closer than four points. UF went 4-of-6 from the free throw line in the final minute of overtime.

Crumpton was the third member of WSU in double figures with a season-high 15 points. Stephanie Lock (White Lake, Mich. / Lakeland), making her first career start, pulled down a season-best eight rebounds for the Warriors. Bridges scored in double digits for the seventh straight contest.

Kayla Brown led Findlay (9-3, 6-2 GLIAC) with 25 points, sinking 10-of-11 free throws. Overall, the Oilers were 34-for-51 from the free throw line.

Wayne State was 22-for-34 from the free throw line. The Warriors also had 58 rebounds, including 28 offensive boards. Findlay pulled down 43 rebounds.

WSU returns to action at 8 p.m. on Thursday, hosting Northwood at the Matthaei.
