Dragons dominate in sweep of Panthers

The Tiffin University volleyball team got back on track Tuesday night, pounding the Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers, 3-0.

TU scored early and often in set one, scoring the first four points of the set. Tiffin used a 10-3 run to distance themselves from the Panthers on their way to a 25-12 set one win. In the 2nd set, the Dragons found themselves on the wrong side of the scoreboard early, but rallied to tie the score at 8-8. The Dragons continued to win at the net in the set, extending their lead to as much as six points. The Panthers continued to fight, but were unable to complete the comeback as the Dragons finished the set with a 3-0 run to win 25-18. The Dragons flexed their muscle in the final set, roaring out of the gate to a 16-5 lead. TU cruised to the finish line with a 25-13 3rd set victory.

Individually, the Dragons had nine players record at least one kill, with Jenna Huffman leading the group with nine. Kasey Adelsperger finished with eight kills and Olivia Cobb smacked seven kills. Emily Weithman collected 37 assists, Cobb added 17 digs, and Taylor Lattimore chipped in with 15 digs. As a team, the Dragons hit at a .299 clip.

The non-conference win moves the Dragons to 10-8 overall.
