Tiffin University (15-7) fell in the opening rounds of the GLIAC Men's Tennis tournament, as Northwood beat the Dragons 5-1.

Tiffin trailed 2-1 after doubles play. Their lone win came at third doubles, where Andrew Isaac/Sorin Navrotchi pulled out a narrow 8-6 win. Luis Ludena/Toby Cutting fell 8-4 and Agustin Mangone/Elio Lezama fell 8-3.

TU could not pull out any wins in singles play, as TU lost its first three matches. Ludena fell 6-2, 6-4, Mangone lost 6-0, 6-3, and Cutting dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision.

TU will now play the loser of the Wayne State/Hillsdale match at 3:45 pm April 22.
