Second Half Lifts Lake Erie Past Malone

The Malone University men's soccer team lost 3-0 on the road to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Lake Erie College on Friday night.

The first half of the match was a defensive one, as there were only four shot attempts in the first half between both teams. The Storm had the slight edge with three shots to the Pioneers' one. The score at the half would be a 0-0 deadlock.

The Storm would notch all three goals in the second half at the 52:39, 55:30, and 78:40 markers to seal the 3-0 victory.

Malone gave great effort in the second half as they had six shot attempts, but none would fall through for the Pioneers.

Goalkeeper Jon Crabbs collected five saves on the day to increase his season total to 83 total saves.

The Pioneers will travel to Ohio Dominican for their last road game of the season on Sunday, October 25th.  Kickoff is slated for 2:00 p.m..
