The Tiffin University men's basketball team suffered a GLIAC setback on Saturday afternoon, falling 71-68 in overtime. The Dragons led by as much as 12 points in the 2nd half, but the Warriors were able to mount a comeback late in the 2nd half to tie the score and force overtime.

The Dragons got off to a nice start in the opening half, rolling ahead to a 17-7 lead thanks to Quentin Jones' jumper with 12:33 left in the 1st half. The Warriors slowly chipped away at Tiffin's lead, and pulled even at 21-21 thanks to a 14-4 run over the course of ten minutes of game action. A pair of Austin Adams free throws late in the half tied the score at 23-23, and both teams trotted to the halftime locker room deadlocked. 

The halftime message delivered by Coach Buccilla and his staff set fire to Tiffin's offense as the 2nd half began. Tiffin motored forward with a 16-4 run to lead 39-27. The Warriors were able to weather Tiffin's storm, fighting back with a 20-9 run to pull within a point at 48-47. The Dragons were able to slightly extend their lead using Alex Brown's jumper with 03:20 remaining to lead 53-47. The Warriors kept countering every Tiffin run with one of their own, and over the course of the final three minutes of the game outscored Tiffin 8-2 to send the game to overtime tied at 55-55.

In the extra session the Warriors charged out to a seven point lead at 62-55 with 02:04 remaining. Tiffin kept their head down and clawed back to within a bucket at 68-66 with 21 seconds left. Free throws were key for the Warriors in the final minutes, hitting 8 of 9 attempts in overtime to defeat Tiffin 71-68.

The Dragons were led by Austin Adams, compiling a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Shane Waldon added 14 points and seven boards, and Terrell Mabins finished with 13 points before fouling out. Justin Miller was the last Dragon in double figures, finishing with 12 points. Alex Brown became the first player in Tiffin history to compile 1000 career points, 500 rebounds, and 200 assists, needing only two boards to achieve the feat.

The Dragons fall to 7-15 overall and 3-11 in the GLIAC.
