The Tiffin University men's basketball team opened the 2016-17 home schedule with a dominant 83-41 win over the Lambton College Lions.

Tiffin started the game slow on the offensive end, leading the Lions 11-7 a little over seven minutes into the 1st half. The slow start was short-lived, as the Dragons bolted ahead with a 9-0 run to take a 20-7 lead. Tiffin continued to hammer away at the Lions, hitting 40.5% of their shots, including 13 points off 10 Lambton turnovers. With a 25-13 lead with 06:50 remaining in the initial half, the Dragons closed the half on a 16-7 run to lead 41-20 at the break.

At the intermission, Tiffin was led in scoring by Alex Brown with 9 points. Tiffin showed their depth, playing 10 players with 8 of the 10 finding the bottom of the net. On the boards, TU held a 28-20 lead, as Mohamed Rage snagged seven to lead Tiffin.

The Dragons opened the half with a 10-4 run to lead 51-24. Tiffin continued to build upon their lead, with the highlights of the 2nd half coming courtesy of Austin Adams, slamming home a pair of two-handed dunks to bring the crowd to their feet. The Dragons feasted on the Lions' interior defense, scoring 22 of their 42 2nd half points in the paint. 

Tiffin was led in scoring by Juwan Johnson with 18 points. Johnson scored 11 of his 18 in the 2nd half, hitting three long range jumpers in the latter stages of the game. Alex Brown finished with 13 points, Austin Adams added 11 points, and Tony Kynard chipped in with 10. On the glass, Tiffin held a 53-38 advantage, with Khaleal McCormick registering 10 rebounds.

The Dragons move to 1-2 overall. Tiffin will now travel to Puerto Rico to play in the Puerto Rico Thanksgiving Tournament.
