Kissimmee, Fla. -- The Wayne State University softball team (7-10 overall) let a 4-1 advantage slip away as the Indianapolis Greyhounds (14-6-1 overall) scored eight times over the final three innings for a
9-4 win over the Warriors.
After UI took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second on a walk and two singles, WSU responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning.

Brittany Omelanchuk (Brooklin, Ont. / Wilson S.S.) had a leadoff double to right center and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by sophomore center fielder

The Warriors increased their lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth with a pair of runs. Fulton had an infield single and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by sophomore
Makelle Barski (Trenton, Mich.). White had a bunt single to put runners on the corners. Junior shortstop

The Greyhounds regained the lead with four runs on six hits and an error in the top of the fifth. UI added two more runs in the sixth on two hits, a hit by pitch, and a couple of walks.
Indianapolis tacked on two more runs in the seventh to complete the scoring.
Sam Cain (Taylor, Mich. / Kennedy) started in the circle for WSU and allowed seven runs (six earned) on 11 hits in five-plus innings. She struck out two and walked two. Freshman

Fulton and White each had three hits for the Warriors, who were out-hit 14-12.
