Second half goals lift Dragons 4-1

Tiffin University (5-3-2, 4-1-1 GLIAC) opened the offensive floodgates in the final 15 minutes of play, beating Ashland 4-1.

The Dragons opened scoring quickly, as Travis Simat crossed the ball from the left side and Matthew Tait headed it to the right side of goal to give TU a 1-0 lead in the 7th minute.

TU controlled play for most of the first half but could not get a second goal. Ashland equalized in the 41st minute, with Jordan Dees knocked home a cross from the left side from Justin Libertowski to make it 1-1 at the break.

Neither team could gain the advantage for the next 30 minutes. But all that changed in a hurry in the 76th minute, as TU scored the first of three goals over the next seven minutes. Abdoul Magid Sy broke the deadlock by drilling a cross from the right side from Limamu Mohammed to make it 2-1.

Alexander Wagener then took a long pass from Dylan O'Kane and punched it in in the 80th minute to give TU some insurance 3-1. TU's put the game away with a goal by Enoch Duval on a short pass in the box from Marc Albert Feliu in the 83rd minute.

Cary Wilson got the win in goal, making 4 saves over 90 minutes.

TU held a solid 18-8 shot advantage, including an 8-2 first half edge.
