Dragons shut out Panthers 2-0

Tiffin University, ranked 23rd in NCAA Divisison II in the latest NSCAA poll, bounced back nicely after a tough GLIAC loss, defeating Ohio Dominican in a game that finished in a torrential downpour 2-0.

The Dragons (7-1, 5-1 GLIAC) played a scoreless first half though they dominated with a 9-4 shot advantage in the half. Still, TU didn't put a ball in the net until the 64th minute when Andre Landell took a nice flick over the defender's head from Michael McPeek and struck it into the goal to make it 1-0.

TU put the game away in the 87th minute when Landell got his second goal on a pass from Abdoul Magid Sy. The game's final 9 minutes were played in a tremendous downpour as the Dragons got the victory just before lightning flashed across the sky.

Overall TU outshot Ohio Dominican 13-6, including allowing just 1 shot on goal. CaryWilson got the shutout win in goal, making 1 save over 90 minutes.
