Dragons clip Warriors 5-4

Tiffin University (12-4, 3-1 GLIAC) picked up its sixth win in seven matches, beating Wayne State (ranked 7th regionally) in a narrow contest 5-4.

The Dragons started the day by picking up two doubles victories. Luis Ludena/Toby Cutting won the day's hardest battle, an 8-6 victory at first singles. Elio Lezama Perez/Andrew Isaac then picked up an 8-2 win to give TU a 2-1 lead heading to singles play. 

The sole loss at doubles was by Sorin Navrotchi/Agustin Mangone, who fell 8-1.

Playing without Ludena in singles, everyone moved up a spot in the lineup, with TU getting two big wins from fifth and sixth singles to win the match. Navrotchi won 6-4, 6-2 while Kopronica pulled out a 6-3, 6-2 win. Added to Lezama's 6-1, 6-2 victory at second singles, the Dragons took the match.

Isaac fell at first singles 6-3, 6-0, while Mangone (6-1, 6-4) and Cutting (6-2, 6-1) also fell in their singles matches.
