Oilers Win 20-6 Over W. Va. Wesleyan

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team evened their record at 5-5 on the year with a 20-6 win over West Virginia Wesleyan on April 1 at the Armstrong Sports Complex.

The Oilers, who put up a season-high 20 goals, out-shot West Virginia Wesleyan by a 32-13 margin in the game. They were led by freshman Ciara Burud, who had five goals in the victory.

Sophomore Hannah Peebles had a great day as well, finishing with three goals and five assists. The five assists were one shy of the school record for most assists in a game.

Junior Olivia Sherman racked up three goals and nine draws while sophomore Graceann Conte had three goals and an assist.

Senior Kyra Bradley recorded two goals and four assists while sophomore Brie Caruso contributed a pair of goals as well.

Freshman Claire Ferrell picked up the victory between the pipes and made four saves in the win.

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 7 when they host Grand Valley State at 4 p.m.
