Tiffin University (14-11, 2-0 GLIAC) took advantage of costly Wayne State errors to complete a road sweep of the Warriors, winning 2-1 and 4-0.

Tiffin pitching was rock solid all day long, as they allowed just one run over 14 innings. Kimmy Reynolds got the win in the opener, allowing 6 hits over 7 innings while overcoming 6 walks and fanning 3.

She got all the offense she would need when, with Ally Rock on board from a double with two outs, Libby Crow drilled a two-run home run in the 5th inning.

Reynolds then got tough over the final two innings. In the 6th, a double and two walks loaded the bases for Wayne State with one out. A single scored the Warriors' lone run but the Dragons threw out the baserunner trying to reach third. Reynolds then posted a strikeout to end the inning with TU up 2-1.

The 7th was also an adventure, as, with two outs and two on base, Reynolds got a pop up to shortstop to end the game.

Crow finished with 2 hits including the two-run home run, while Ally Rock also had a double.

In the nightcap, Tiffany Snell pitched 5.1 innings and scattered 6 hits. She got a run early, as TU scored in the opening frame. Brooke Lambert stroked a two-out double and came home on Sierra Besser-Paul's single.

TU added another run in the 4th inning courtesy of Wayne State errors. Amanda Rock singled and, with two outs, Crow got a single that allowed Rock to advance to third on an error by the shortstop. Crow then stole second, and Rock scampered home on an error by the catcher, giving TU a 2-0 lead.

Wayne State challenged in the 6th. With one out Wayne State loaded the bases, leading Faith Bogard to enter the game in relief of Snell. A fielder's choice gave TU an out as they gunned down the runner at home, and a line out to second base got TU out of the jam with the shutout preserved.

TU got big insurance runs in the top of the 7th. With Crow on first and two outs, Gabrielle Hess walked. Lambert then reached on an error at third, allowing Crow to score. Another E5 loaded the bases and Lindsay Graves responded with a single to drive in another run.

Bogard picked up the save by pitching a shutout seventh inning, getting three ground outs to end the game.

Bogard pitched 1.2 innings for the save, not allowing a hit. Lambert had the lone extra base hit with a double.
