The University of Findlay women's soccer team lost 2-0 against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) rival and 21st nationally ranked Saginaw Valley State University at DeHaven Field on Friday, October 24.
The first half of the contest was scoreless, but then Alexis Hilliard and Annie Aubrey scored in the second half for the Cardinals which led to their 2-0 victory.
Senior goalkeeper Samantha Trimboli picked up the loss in the net for the Oilers and made three saves in the contest.
The Cardinals had the edge offensively against the Oilers with a 15-11 advantage in shots.
The Oilers, who fell to 6-7-1 on the season with the loss, which includes a 3-5-1 mark in GLIAC play, will return to action on Sunday, October 26 at 12:00 p.m. when they host GLIAC opponent Northwood University.
