Oilers Lose Tough Battle Against Tiffin

The University of Findlay men's soccer team lost to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) rival Tiffin University 2-1 on Friday, September 12 at DeHaven Field. 

The Dragons jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first half when Andre Landell scored at the 23 minute mark. 

The Dragons extended their lead in the second half when Daniel Fallon scored at the 58 minute mark. 

The Oilers got on the board when Ryan Poyle scored on a penalty kick at the 83 minute mark.  The final minutes of the game were an intense battle and unfortunately the Oilers were unable to capitalize to tie the game.    

Findlay goalkeeper Joe McClanahan took the loss in the net and had seven saves in the process. 

Tiffin had the edge offensively with a 19-10 advantage in shots. 

The Oilers return to the field on Monday, September 15 when they travel to Vienna, West Virginia to face Ohio Valley University.
