Dragons suffer 6-3 setback to Warriors

Tiffin University (4-1, 3-1 GLIAC) suffered its first setback of the season, falling to Wayne State 6-3.

The Dragons dropped a number of razor thin matches and could not battle back after falling behind 2-1 after doubles play. The lone winner in doubles was Lauren Prince/Abbie-Jade Riley, who battled back from a 7-2 deficit to pull out a big 9-7 win.

Adel Musina/Emily Sim and Juliette Sirgant/Anais Geslin both fell in doubles play by 8-3 scores.

Trying to comeback on the Warriors, TU got singles wins from only Emily Sim (6-3, 6-3) and Geslin (6-1, 6-0). Riley dropped a heartbreaker 3-6, 7-5, 7-5 while Prince also lost a three-setter 5-7, 6-0, 6-3.

Musina and Milah Ryland both fell in straight set losses.
