Tiffin University (6-6) pulled out three three-set wins in a razor thin comeback victory over Chowan 5-4 in the final match of their spring trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Five of the singles matches went to three sets, but TU first battled back from a 2-1 deficit after doubles play. Luis Ludena/Elio Lezama Perez fell in a close match 8-5 while Austin Mohamedali/Sorin Navrotchi fell 8-2. TU did get a point from Toby Cutting/Nikita Parfenov in a close 8-5 score.

In singles play, the biggest comeback came from Parfenov, who faced down a match point before pulling out a huge 2-6, 7-5, 14-10 victory. Hugo Chatras also came up big in a three setter, winning 6-3, 4-6, 15-11, while Ludena also got on the comeback train by winning 3-6, 6-4, 10-4. Tom Arias went the easy route, winning in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

Santiago de la Rosa Mora dropped a three set match 6-3, 4-6, 10-8, while Navrotchi also fell 7-6, 4-6, 10-8 in another marathon.
