It was a long drive, but if you're going to travel that far you might as well pick up a win. The Tiffin University men's soccer team did so on Friday afternoon, defeating Northern Michigan University 1-0.

It was a slow 1st half for Tiffin's offense, totaling one shot. The Dragons' defense was tested early, facing eight Wildcat shots. Tiffin's keeper Cary Wilson collected two saves in the 1st half.

The 2nd half started exactly how Tiffin had drawn it up during halftime. Abdoul Magid Sy played a ball to Matthew Tait, and the big guy did the rest as he sliced a shot into the net for the lone goal of the game. The Dragons' defense withstood the Wildcats charge, as Cary Wilson collected three more saves on his way to his second shutout of the season.

The Dragons have put together a nice run in their last four games, posting a 3-0-1 record and allowing only three goals in those four games. As a team, the Dragons improve to 4-2-2 overall and 3-0-1 in the GLIAC. Tiffin will be back in action on Sunday as they face off against Northwood University.
