The Malone University men's soccer team lost on the road to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) NCAA DII #2 Saginaw Valley State University (MI) 4-1 on Friday night.
The Cardinals were first to get on the board as Aleksander Isaevski received a touch pass from Craig Neal in the 33
rd minute of the first half. They went on to score 11 minutes later to make it 2-0. The score would remain the same at intermission.
The Cardinals keep the momentum going as they scored within two minutes of the start of the second half and again seven minutes later to take a 4-0 lead.
The Pioneers would get on the board as junior midfielder
Sam Tonelli scored his second goal of the season from a head in off a pass from senior
Matt Akindipe.
Malone will continue on the road as they head to GLIAC opponent Northwood University (MI) on Sunday October 12th. Kick-off will be at noon.
