Oilers Come Up Short Against #20 Cardinals

The University of Findlay men's soccer team lost 5-3 against 20th-ranked Saginaw Valley State University on Oct. 24 in University Center, Mich.

The Oilers, who fell to 4-11 on the year with the loss, found themselves down 3-1 at the half. They played even with the Cardinals in the second half however as each team produced two goals.

Junior Mark Sleasman recorded two goals and added an assist to pace the Oilers offense while freshman Ryan Husband scored a goal and assisted on another.

Junior Jared Lyon recorded an assist on the day while sophomore goalkeeper Joel McClanahan took the loss between the pipes, making six saves in the game.

The Oilers will return to action again on Sunday when they face Northwood University at 2:30 p.m. in Midland, Mich.
