SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (12-11 overall, 7-2 GLIAC) bested Lake Superior State (5-12 overall, 1-8 GLIAC), 8-1, in the last match of the regular season on Sunday morning at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.

DOUBLES RESULTS
- Junior
Clement Charriere (Marseille, France) and freshman
Taylor Vane (Southampton, England) defeated Ieuan Lister and Hunter Koster, 8-2, at the first doubles flight, while senior
Mohamed Fazyl Kechai (Paris, France) and freshman
Derek Sammons (Coldwater, Mich.) topped TJ Myers and Borja Font, 8-5, at No. 3 doubles.
- Junior
Ryan Carlson (Armada, Mich.) and sophomore
Harvey Reed (Winchester, England) won a close, 8-6, match over Jake Prime and Luis Valderrama at the second doubles position.

SINGLES RESULTS
- Carlson blanked Myers in two sets, 6-0, 6-0, at the sixth singles flight, and sophomore
Luke Ruocco (Lewes, England) beat Miles Munro, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 5 singles.
- Vane won in a tiebreaker, 6-3, 1-6, 6-2, over Listor at the third singles position, while Charriere notched a comeback win in three sets (3-6, 6-3, 6-3) against Font at the second singles flight.
- Kechai topped Prime (6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 1 singles, and Reed fell, 7-6 (8-0), 6-3, to Valderrama at the fifth singles position.
