Timberwolves Top Oilers 75-56

The University of Findlay men's basketball team fell 75-56 to Northwood University on Dec. 5 in Midland, Mich. The loss gives the Oilers a 2-4 record on the season with a 0-2 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Timberwolves connected on 52.7 percent (29-of-55) attempts from the field and held Findlay to a 40.7 percent (22-of-54) shooting clip. Northwood also held a 35-25 advantage on the boards.

Sophomore guard Martyce Kimbrough led the Oilers with 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting. The Oilers also got 12 points and seven rebounds while senior forward John Staley had ten points and six boards.

Senior guard Dylan Kaufman came off the bench to provide seven points and four assists while freshman forward Alex White had three points and six rebounds.

Maurice Jones led the Timberwolves with 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds.

The Oilers will return home to host Michigan Technological University on Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
