The Malone University men's soccer team lost 2-1 in overtime to fellow Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) member the University of Findlay on Sunday night.

Neither team would convert a shot in the first half, resulting in 0-0 standstill at halftime. The Oilers finished the first half with the 10-to-1 shot advantage over the Pioneers.

Five minutes into the second half, forward Nick Astalos drilled a shot to the lower right corner of the net to put Malone ahead 1-0 with 40 minutes left in regulation.

At the 72:52 marker in the second half, Findlay's leading scorer, Ryan Husband, headed the ball into the net off a free kick from teammate Michael Shaikly to tie the game at 1-1.
