Panthers Defeat Oilers 76-61

The University of Findlay women's basketball team lost 76-61 to Ohio Dominican University on Feb. 5 in Croy Gymnasium. The loss gives the Oilers an 11-9 record on the season with a 7-9 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers only shot 38 percent (19-of-50) from the floor in the game while the Panthers meanwhile connected on 47.5 percent (29-of-61) of their tries. The Panthers also held a commanding 41-25 edge on the boards and blocked six shots in the game.

Sophomore guard Karli Bonar led the Oilers with 14 points. She hit 5-of-13 shot attempts from the field and was 4-of-11 from three point range.

Senior guard Ciara Geiger had nine points and seven rebounds while senior forward Lacey Kessler stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, five steals and four rebounds.

Junior forward Margaret Wuebker contributed eight points and freshman guard Haley Horstman had seven points in the loss.

Madi Rittinger led the Panthers with 23 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks.

The Oilers will travel to Tiffin, Ohio on Saturday to take on Tiffin University at 1 p.m.
