Tiffin University (20-17, 8-6 GLIAC) had a handful of run-scoring opportunities against 12th-ranked Grand Valley State but could not come through, falling 1-0 and 4-0 in a twinbill at Paradiso Fields.

In the opener, TU faced one of the conference's toughest pitchers in Allison Lipovsky, and the hurler lived up to the billing, holding TU to just 2 hits over 7 innings with 12 strikeouts. Kimmy Reynolds nearly matched her for the Dragons, going the distance and allowing just 5 hits, but one of those hits was a high wind-aided home run in the 4th inning that proved the difference.

Brooke Lambert had a double for one of TU's hits, but the Dragons could not get her home in the 4th inning. In the fifth, TU put runners on first and third with 2 out but a strikeout ended the threat. TU also had chances in the 6th, as Libby Crow singled and stole second but another strikeout ended TU's last chance.

In the nightcap, it was more of the same, as TU got just two hits. Grand Valley scored single runs in the first, second, third, and fifth innings, with two of those runs being unearned due to TU errors.

April Bennett started and went 2.2 innings, allowing one earned run on 6 hits, while Tiffany Snell finished in relief over the final 4.1 innings. She allowed one earned run and 3 hits.
