FINDLAY, Ohio -- The Wayne State University baseball team (14-9, 4-2 GLIAC) saw its six-game winning streak come to an end at Findlay (16-7, 7-5 GLIAC) on Sunday. The Warriors dropped game one 5-1 and game two 5-3.
GAME ONE (L, 1-5)
HOW IT HAPPENED

Patrick Adams III (Detroit, Mich. / De La Salle) drew a bases-loaded walk in the top of the first inning to give WSU a 1-0 lead. However, the Warriors were unable to make it a big inning and Findlay escaped with limited damage. The Oilers scored a run in the second, three in the the third and another run in fourth inning to eventually win 5-1.
ON THE MOUND

Jared Tobey (St. Clair, Mich.) (1-3) pitched three innings and allowed four earned runs on three hits and six walks.
Richard Hovde (Saline, Mich.) allowed an earned run in his three innings of work.
GAME TWO (L, 3-5)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Green & Gold scored a run on two hits and an error in the top of the second inning of the series finale.
Justin Sherman (Ann Arbor, Mich. / Pioneer) doubled down the left field line to plate
Tristen Jorah (Clinton Twp., Mich. / Sterling Heights Stevenson) who reached on an infield single.

Brad Baldwin (Troy, Mich. / Bishop Foley Catholic) extended WSU's advantage to 2-0 with an RBI single into left field in the top of the third inning. The Oilers cut the deficit in half with a run on a hit and two errors in the bottom of the fourth inning. Starter
Tyler Waldrop (Grand Ledge, Mich.) was able to strand the bases loaded but Findlay would take the a 4-2 lead with three runs on three hits in the bottom of the fifth inning.
- Adams singled to right to start the eighth inning, advanced to second on a passed ball and reached third on a
Justin Kelly (Wheaton, Ill. / Wheaton Warrenville South) RBI single. A sacrifice fly from
Griffin Harms (Bingham Farms, Mich. / Birmingham Groves) brought WSU within a run at 4-3. However, Findlay added a run in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Warriors were unable to create any offense in the ninth.
AT THE PLATE
- Baldwin and Jorah both collected two-hit games.
ON THE MOUND
- Waldrop lasted four and a 1/3 innings and allowed an earned run, while striking out five batters.
Nolan Dill (Bowling Green, Ohio) (2-1) allowed two earned runs in an inning and 2/3. Taylor horn (Leo, Ind.) pitched a scoreless frame and
Tyler Tompson (Farmington, Mich.) gave up a run in his inning of work.
