KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's tennis team lost to host Western Michigan 7-0 at the West Hills Athletic Club on Thursday.

Senior
Andreea Mitrache (Sterling Heights, Mich. / Warren Cousino) and senior
Liz Ghellere (Ararangua, Brazil) fell at No. 2 to Katja Fevralev and Gabriela Slavova, 6-3.Â

Brianna Douglas (Dayton, Ohio / Chaminade Julienne) and
Linda Liong (Tanjung Kidurong, Malaysia) fell 6-1 to Denise Azcui and Jeryn Jack.
At No. 1, juniorÂ
Dasha Kuznetsova (Moscow, Russia) and freshmanÂ
Khadija Da-Silva (Burlington, Ont. / Robert Bateman S.S.) did not finish their match after WMU earned the doubles point per Division I rules.
SINGLES RESULTS
Mitrache lost 6-2, 6-1 to Barbare Eristravi at No. 1.
In the second flight, Kuznetsova was bested by Melina Lyubomirova, 6-1, 6-2.
At No. 3, Da-Silva faced Azcui, falling 5-7, 7-6 (1), 1-0 (10-4).
Ghellere played at the fourth flight, facing a 6-1, 6-0 defeat to Fevralev.
The fifth flight between Liong and Slavova ended with a Bronco point, 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-3).
Douglas fell 6-4, 6-1 to Jack at No. 6.
