CSU Plays to 1-1 Draw in First Exhibition Match

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with Lake Erie in an exhibition match on Wednesday afternoon at Krenzler Field.

After a scoreless first half, the Storm put the first tally on the board in the 56th minute. It didn't take long for CSU to respond as freshman Jake Lagania took a through pass on the left sideline, worked his way into the box and blasted a shot from 12 yards out past the LEC goalkeeper.

The Vikings have several quality scoring chances throughout the match, recording 17 shots for the match, including eight on goal.

Nick Ciraldo made two saves for CSU.

The Vikings close out the exhibition part of their schedule with a 3:00 p.m. match with St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday at Krenzler Field.
