Dragons pull out 4-3 double OT win

For the second time this week, Tiffin University (12-3-2, 10-3-2 GLIAC) battled a conference foe into double overtime, but this time the Dragons pulled out the victory, defeating Ohio Dominican under the lights 4-3.

After the Panthers scored in just the 2nd minute, the Dragons made it 1-1 at halftime when Andre Landell scored off a pass from Limamu Mohammed.

The Dragons then appeared to take control, picking up two more goals early in the second half to make it 3-1. Michael McPeek took a Scott Byrom pass and scored in the 49th minute, while Michael Bottomley knocked one home in the 56th minute.

But the Panthers would not quit, coming back in the final 10 minutes to score dramatic goals in the 81st and 88th minutes to send the game to overtime.

Facing the prospect of another tie after a 4-4 tie with Saginaw Valley earlier in the week, Andre Landell put TU in the win column with a clutch goal off a pass from Byrom to end the game.

TU dominated the shot chart with a 32-17 edge, while also holding a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks. Cary Wilson got the win in goal, making 6 saves.
