The Tiffin University volleyball team picked up a huge GLIAC win on Friday night, beating the Hillsdale College Chargers 3-1 for the first time in program history.

The Chargers, currently 5th place in the GLIAC, were able to squeak out a 32-30 victory in set one, committing five less attack errors than the Dragons. Tiffin and Hillsdale each collected 20 kills, but it was the Chargers' .255 hitting percentage that proved to be the difference.

Tiffin didn't let the tough 1st set loss bother them, pummeling the Chargers 25-18. Tiffin had their best hitting set, finishing with a .367 hitting percentage. The Dragons took advantage of Hillsdale's eight attack errors, holding the Chargers to a .146 hitting percentage.

The 3rd set was hotly contested, as the crowd noise continued to build with each Tiffin kill. The Dragons were able to scratch and claw their way past the Chargers 25-21. TU smacked 16 kills for a .256 hitting percentage. Hillsdale converted 13 kills, but hit at only a .184 mark, lacking offensive efficiency.

The Chargers were held to only 10 kills, as their offense hit the skids, hitting at only a .026 percentage. The Dragons finished the Chargers with a 25-20 4th set victory.
