The Tiffin University volleyball team kept the line moving on Tuesday night defeating Cedarville 3-1. Tiffin has found their groove over their last eight matches, winning six.

The Dragons had the hot hand in the first set, rushing ahead to a 14-7 lead. The hits just kept on coming for Tiffin as their lead swelled to 22-11 thanks to five kills from the Tiffin offense. The Dragons continued to roll as they dropped Cedarville 25-17.

The second set wasn't as lopsided, but Tiffin still got out to a nice 6-2 lead. Cedarville got off the mat and responded with an 8-0 run to take a 14-10 lead. Tiffin had their work out out for them, but they shook off the cobwebs and went to work. Tiffin eventually pulled even at 23-23 and then used an attack error and an Olivia Davis kill to finish the job 25-23.

The third set was the worst for Tiffin as the Dragons collected only 10 kills and committed nine attack errors. Cedarville used another an 8-0 run towards the midpoint of the set to take control and cruise to a 25-17 win.

Tiffin recovered nicely in the 4th set, holding a slim 10-9 lead. After a Cedarville kill, Tiffin made their push, using an 11-5 run to take a 21-15 lead. Cedarville continued to pester Tiffin, but it was too little too late as Tiffin pounded their way to a 25-22 win.

The Dragons were led by Jenna Huffman with a monster game, logging 17 kills, 15 digs, and three blocks. Danielle Hicks posted 14 kills, 4 digs, and two blocks. Emily Weithman and Loryn Huffman were a dangerous duo as both logged 29 assists.

Tiffin moves to 16-12 overall. The Dragons leap back into GLIAC play with a pair of road games against Davenport University and Purdue University Northwest. Tiffin has a one game lead for the 6th spot in the GLIAC, and can qualify for postseason play with a pair of wins.
