ORLANDO, Fla. – The Wayne State University men's tennis team (7-6 overall) concluded its Florida road trip Tuesday with a 9-0 win over Daemen (4-7 overall).

Niklas Karcz (Bottrop, Germany), senior
Harvey Reed (Winchester, Hampshire, England), and junior
Griffin Mertz (Farmington Hills, Mich. / North Farmington) were all double winners in the event.
DOUBLES RESULS
Sophomore
Mats Westkamp (Bonn, Germany) paired with Vane at No. 1, defeating Fabian Wilde and Mark Veitengruber, 8-3.
At the second flight, Sammons and Karcz earned an 8-4 triumph over Ricardo Ruiz and David Gonzalez.
The third flight featured Mertz and Reed taking an 8-2 advantage over Tim Georg and Jose Willamson.
SINGLES RESULTS
Vane took down Georg, 6-1, 6-0, in the first flight.
Mertz defeated Gonzalez, 6-1, 6-2 at No.2.
In the third flight, Karcz was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Ricardo Ruiz.
Reed claimed the fourth flight over Wilde, 6-4, 6-3.
Sammons won 7-5, 6-3 over Veitengruber at the fifth flight.
Sophomore
Jason Potter (Sterling Heights, Mich. / International Academy East) was a 7-6, 6-1 winner over Williamson.
