Oilers Lose Season Opener Against Quincy

The University of Findlay men's soccer team lost their season opener against Quincy 4-0 on Friday, September 5 at DeHaven Field. 

Quincy took a 1-0 lead in a close first half; unfortunately the Oilers offense was unable to gain any momentum in the second half. 

Findlay goalkeeper Joe McClanahan picked up the loss in the net and had nine saves in the process. 

Quincy held the upper hand on the offensive side of the field with a 20-5 advantage in shots and a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks. 

The Oilers return to the field next Friday, September 12 when they host Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Tiffin University.
