Oilers Fall 3-2 to Storm

The University of Findlay volleyball team traveled to Lake Erie College for a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) contest on Friday, October 28.  The Oilers suffered a 3-2 (24-26, 15-25, 25-22, 25-14, 15-17) defeat and stumbled to 16-7 on the season and 9-3 in the GLIAC.

Senior Hannah Tong led the Oilers with a season high 29 kills and a .444 hitting percentage.  Her 29 kills places her tied 4th all-time in the University of Findlay record books for kills in a match.

Sophomore Amanda Winner did a little bit of everything for the Oilers.  She finished the match with 13 kills, nine digs, and four aces.

Sophomore Hailee Olson recorded 52 assists in the match and added six digs.  Sophomore Kara Scherger led the Oilers with 18 digs.

Senior Mallorie Kah continued to be a dominant force at the net defensively for Findlay.  She finished the match with seven total blocks.

The Oilers return back in action on Saturday, October 29 with another GLIAC matchup.  On Saturday, they travel to Ohio Dominican with a 2:00 p.m. scheduled start.
