Oilers Lockdown Dragons 75-58

The Tiffin University men's basketball team had trouble scoring the basketball on Thursday night, as they were held to 58 points in a 75-58 loss to the Findlay Oilers.

The Dragons started the game on fire, jumping out to a 16-7 lead in front of a standing room only crowd. A Tony Kynard layup pushed the Dragons ahead 20-10, ultimately waking the Oilers' from their early offensive slumber. Findlay fired back with a 20-3 run to take a 30-23 lead with 03:15 left. The Oilers added to their lead, taking a 34-26 lead to the halftime locker room.

Findlay pushed the Dragons' deficit to 10 with a jumper just 14 seconds into the 2nd half. Tiffin continued to fight, responding with a Mohamed Rage jumper. Every attempt Tiffin made at a comeback was stymied by the Oilers, as they built their lead to as much as 20 points, leading to a 75-58 Tiffin defeat.

Austin Adams led the Dragons with 17 points and 7 rebounds on 7 of 11 shooting. Juwan Johnson chipped in with 14 points on 5 of 11 shooting. The Dragons had trouble from beyond the arc, hitting only 2 of 16 attempts from deep.

The Dragons fall to 8-11 overall and 4-8 in GLIAC play.
