Walks will haunt is a pretty common saying heard at a baseball game, and the adage held true on Friday in Tiffin's 11-6 loss to Davenport in the consolation bracket of the GLIAC Tournament. Tiffin walked 11 batters on Friday, and surrendered 10 hits in the defeat. While the Panthers took advantage of the free passes, Tiffin didn't have as much success, collecting seven walks, but stranding 10 runners over the course of the game.

The Panthers struck for a pair of runs in the bottom half of the 1st to take a 2-0 lead. The Dragons started their tally a half inning later, using Cody Orr's single back up the box to make it a 2-1 lead. The Dragons tied the game later in the frame as Brayden Callihan's fielders choice chased a run home.

Davenport used a wild pitch and double to break the tie, plating two runs to lead 4-2. Tiffin counter punched with a three spot in the top of the 3rd, using run scoring hits from Jack Dennis and Kyle Lento, while Noah Heard scooted home on a wild pitch to lead 5-2.

From the 4th inning on it was basically all Davenport as the Panthers plated 9 runs on 5 hits and 8 bases on balls. The Dragons did manage to add one more run, seeing senior Alec McCurry slice a run scoring double to right center field to make it an 11-6 final.

The Dragons offense was led by Brayden Callihan, Kyle Lento, and Cody Orr, all finishing with a pair of hits. Brady Ward took the loss on the mound in relief, tossing three innings.

Tiffin finishes the 2018 season 16-29 overall.
