The Malone University volleyball team avenged last year's loss to Cedarville in a four set triumph 25-18, 25-16, 13-25, 25-22.
Senior Elizabeth Maczuzak again led the Pioneers with an all-around game as she contributed 14 kills, 9 digs, 3 blocks, and a team-leading .375 attack percentage. Freshman Cathryn Miller passed out 38 assists while classmate Maggie Hamrock chipped in with 13 digs. Lynsey Trusty added 12 digs of her own.
The Pioneers climbed to 4-5 on the season, the Yellow Jackets fell to 2-8.
Malone will be back in action this Friday, September 18th when they begin their GLIAC conference schedule hosting Ohio Dominican at 7:00 pm.
